About Sorensen School of Dance

Sorensen School of Dance has been a cornerstone of dance education in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, since 1986. With nearly four decades of experience, the studio is dedicated to providing high-quality dance training in a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where dancers can develop both technical excellence and a lifelong love of the arts. The studio offers programs for recreational and competitive dancers across a variety of disciplines, including ballet, tap, modern, jazz, hip hop, pointe, and creative movement. Students benefit from experienced instruction, performance opportunities, examinations, workshops, and community events that encourage artistic growth, confidence, and personal achievement. Led by Artistic Director Kim Sorensen, the studio is committed to maintaining strong training standards while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for dancers of all ages and abilities.
